Ready to try Pilates?

First Pilates session ever? Here’s what to expect:

  • A personalized workout! Our sessions are tailored to the participants – and we’re always happy to address specific issues or challenges during your session.
  • A friendly, supportive environment. Come as you are and leave your worries behind. This is your chance to focus on you — and only you — for an entire hour.


What should I wear and bring?

  • Wear clean and comfortable workout attire for all classes. We recommend yoga pants, bike shorts or sweats.
  • Sticky socks are recommended but not required for equipment classes. (You’ll thank us when you don’t slip.) You can purchase them at the studio if needed.
  • Bring a water bottle to stay properly hydrated. There is a water fountain right outside the studio if you run out.
  • All props (including mats) are available at the studio, so no need to bring anything extra.

Before and After Class:

Before Class:

  • Equipment classes take place in Building 2, Suite 15 at B-Austin. Mat classes take place in the common area classroom in Building 1, next to Alliance Physical Culture.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign a waiver and let us know any injuries or limitations you are working through. We will get your props and equipment ready so we can start on time. All equipment sessions are 55 minutes and all mat classes are 45 minutes, unless otherwise noted.
  • Please silence your cell phones and leave your belongings where designated.

After Class:

  • Check with your instructor for any questions or clarifications.
  • Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated throughout the day.
  • Celebrate your progress and schedule your next session!
